Bringing art to local high streets
If you are interested in participating in this project or would like to support it, please email: news@communitynewsgm.co.uk
Working to help regenerate local high streets through public art, the Urban Fronts project supports small businesses to have artwork on their shutters or windows, brightening shop fronts and making our local shopping areas better for everyone.
Stage One
Stage One of the project began in May 2023 and focuses on shops in Reddish. This first stage was part-funded by Stockport Council and GMP.
Stage Two of the project will commence shortly in Edgeley thanks to funding from the Town Of Culture fund for Stockport.
Into 2024, we aim to run this project across all the Post community newspaper areas, funding dependent.
Any businesses with premises on their local high street who would be interested in shutter or window art, please get in touch!
